A photographer's work moved off a social feed and into something that reads as a brand.

The problem
A social feed makes every photographer look the same.
The photography was strong and the presentation was not. A grid of square crops in someone else's interface flattens a distinct style into the same layout as everyone else's, and gives a potential client no straightforward way to make an enquiry.
It also is not owned. The work sat inside a platform, arranged the way that platform wanted it arranged.
The direction
Put the photographs first and keep everything else quiet. The site should feel like a gallery rather than a template with images dropped into it.
What was built
- Portfolio structure built around the images
- Gallery and viewing experience
- Simple, direct enquiry path
- Responsive layout for phone-first browsing
Details
- Images shown at their own aspect ratio rather than cropped to a grid
- Interface kept deliberately quiet so nothing competes with the photographs
- One direct enquiry path, always reachable
- Owned and portable, unlike the feed it replaced
